DODA, Oct 28: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Mohammad Sharief Niaz today alleged that previous PDP-BJP regime has totally neglected the hilly and remote area especially the erstwhile Doda area.
Addressing several public meetings in Gandoh- Bhallessa area in Bhaderwah Constituency today, the former Minister said that the people are deprived of the basic amenities in the area. The condition of roads is worst, while power, water and ration supply position is also grim. Many Government offices specially the Health Centres are without doctors and other paramedical staff.
He also visited Bhargi, Chilly, Sunwara, Malikpura and Kandlo villages and besides meeting party workers also listened to the problems of the locals.
He that majority of promises made by both BJP-PDP before polls have fallen flat.
Ex Minister said that majority of the works started by During UPA led Government on the demands of people have been shelved by previous government only for their pity political gains.
The people apprised Congress leader that they are have not been paid wagers under MGNREGA under skilled and unskilled component.
They also highlighted several issues pertaining basic facilities. Sharief Niaz assured them all support from his side in solving the problems.
He said the people that he is always available at party headquarter to extend his help in getting their problems solved at every level.
Niaz was accompanied by several senior leaders Block President Bhellessa Om Parkash Parihar Zakir Hussain Ch Bodh Raj Chib Balwant Singh Ranjeet Singh and others.
