Nickel, copper rise on increased demand

NEW DELHI, Sept 6:  Prices of nickel and copper moved up by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today due to increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries and reports of a firming global trend mainly led to the rise in nickel and copper prices.
In the national capital, Nickel (4×4) and copper mixed scrap rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 1,104-1,110 and Rs 438 per kg, respectively.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 114-120, Nickel plate (4×4) 1,104-1,110, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 438, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 113, Lead imported 111, Aluminium ingots 168, Aluminium sheet cutting 169, Aluminium wire scrap 171 and Aluminium utensils scrap 168. (PTI)
