Nickel maintain upward trend on increased demand

NEW DELHI, May 10:  Nickel maintained an upward march for the fifth-straight session by rising Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous base metals market today on increased demand from alloy-makers.
Other base metals ruled steady in limited deals.
Traders said besides increased demand from alloy-makers, reports of a rising trend in its prices in global markets mainly supported the rise in nickel prices.
In the national capital, nickel (4×4) added Rs 2 to Rs 1,088-1,089 per kg.
The following were today’s metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 117-123, nickel plate (4×4) 1,088-1,089 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 435, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 126, lead imported 124, aluminium ingots 148,Aluminium sheet cutting 149, aluminium wire scrap 151 and aluminium utensils scrap 148. (PTI)
