Nickel strengthens on increased demand

NEW DELHI, May 17:  Nickel prices strengthened by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metals market today due to increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries, particularly alloy-makers, helped nickel to strengthen.
In the national capital, nickel (4×4) added another Rs 2 to Rs 1,094-1,095 per kg.
The following were today’s metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 115-121, nickel plate (4×4) 1,094-1,095 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 433, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 124, lead imported 122, aluminium ingots 148, Aluminium sheet cutting 149, aluminium wire scrap 151 and aluminium utensils scrap 148. (PTI)
