Nidhi elected Cultural Secretary JU unopposed

JAMMU, Aug 29: Nidhi Kaila, student of the Department of Law, University of Jammu has been elected Cultural Secretary of Jammu University, here today.
The elections of the Students Cultural Council, JU were scheduled to be held on August 31, 2012, while the last date for filing of nominations was August 28, 2012.
After the scrutiny process it was found that only Nidhi Kaila was eligible for the post.
So the election commissioner Prof Neeru Sharma declared her elected as unopposed Cultural Secretary.
For the post of joint secretary Divya Mahajan of Commerce Department was elected, while for the remaining two posts of joint secretaries elections will be held on September 6, 2012.
After being elected the Cultural Secretary, Nidhi said “I will work for the betterment and promotion of culture and give the best of my knowledge and experience in the field to the cultural council.
Talking to the media persons Joginder Singh Thakur, former Executive member of SCC said that Nidhi is the only girl who is deserving for this post and I am sure that she will prove herself as the best cultural secretary ever because of her innovative skills and huge experience in the cultural activities.
It is worthwhile to mention here that Nidhi Kaila is the renowned singer of Jammu and is possessing the attributes of best folk Vocalist.
