JAMMU, Aug 3: Sheela Nimbhorkar, chairperson, FWO, White Knight Corps, today visited the Crossed Swords Division and took stock of various welfare activities being undertaken by the Division for betterment of not only the families of the soldiers but also the Veer Naris and children of the Army Public and Army Pre Primary Schools being run in the Division.
Earlier, Nimbhorkar was received by Naveeta K Singh, chairperson, FWO of the Crossed Swords Division. The function was graced by the presence of more than 400 families of the soldiers and officers of the division. The function was marked with the lighting of Diya to offer the prayer to the almighty. It was followed by an introductory speech by Naveeta K Singh, who highlighted the role of a lady in the upbringing of the kids and shaping their future.
During the visit, Sheela Nimbhorkar interacted with the families of soldiers deployed in the forward areas and spoke to them of their vital role in maintaining the house and managing the children while their brave husbands are deployed in a challenging environment on the line of control in the defence of the nation.
She also stressed on the upliftment of the families by urging them to pursue their hobbies and strive for higher education for themselves which would further assist them in better grooming of their children and thereby nurturing future generation that will give their best for the motherland.
