LOS ANGELES, Oct 1: “The Vampire Diaries” alum Nina Dobrev is set to star in the Peter Hutchings-directed coming- of-age indie “Arrivals”.
The 26-year-old actress who left the “Vampire Diaries” earlier this year after six seasons, will join Asa Butterfield and Maisie Williams, of “Game Of Thrones” fame, in the film, reported Deadline.
The story follows Cape Town airport worker Calvin (Butterfield), a hypochondriac college dropout who conquers his fears as he takes part in the bucket list of British teenager Skye (Williams).
Dobrev will play an American flight attendant named Izzy, who is Calvin’s romantic interest.
The screenplay by Fergal Rock was a 2013 Academy Nicholl semifinalist
The film is scheduled to begin shooting in South Africa in the winter. (PTI)
