Nine gamblers held

JAMMU, May 11: Bakshi Nagar police today held nine gamblers with playing cards and liquor and recovered stake money of Rs 35430 from their possession.
A police spokesman said, “Acting on a specific input, a police team from police station Bakshi Nagar today conducted a raid at the residence of one Sanjeev Kumar son of Bishamber Dass, a resident of House No 292, Hari Singh Nagar, Rehari colony, Jammu and arrested nine accused with stake money of Rs 35430, five packets of playing cards, liquor and six disposal glasses.
The recovery was made by police team led by Inspector Ashwani Sharma, SHO, police station Bakshi Nagar and SI Kali Charan, Incharge, police post Sarwal. The overall operation was conducted under the direct supervision of SDPO City West, Sugandha Mahajan and Incharge, SP City North,Dr Vinod Kumar.
The nine accused were identified as Sahil Sharma son of Ravinder Kumar of Subash Nagar (Jammu), Amit Kumar son of Satpal of Rehari Colony (Jammu), Dikshat Sharma son of Suraj Parkash of Subash Nagar, Manminder Singh son of Rajinder Singh of Rehari Colony, Goutam Gupta son of Kamal Kishore of Rehari Colony, Kuljeet Singh son of Avtar Singh of Rehari Colony, Anil Gupta son of Krishan Lal of Hari Singh Nagar (Jammu), Amit Kumar son of Mohan Lal of Hari Singh Nagar and Vipal son of Darshan Singh of Subash Nagar.
