Nine injured in separate road accidents

JAMMU, Jan 3: At least nine persons sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Jammu District today.
A police official said that three persons identified as Joginder Singh (21) son of Des Raj, Sachin Singh (20) son of Parveen Singh, and Sukdev (22) son of Des Raj, all residents of Sanasar, suffered injuries when the Eeco car they were travelling in hit with a divider at Suketar area on the National Highway.
A biker, identified as Raghav Sharma (22) son of Des Raj of Kalijani Parade hit a Selection grade Constable, Tazeem Ahmed (38) near Ranbir Higher Secondary School Jammu, resulting in injuries to the duo, he said.
Three persons, identified as Ayesha Zafar (17) daughter of Mohammad Zafar of Chilli, Doda at present Malori Bajalta, Mohammad Usman (18) son of Zakir Hussain of Bhalessa, Doda, and Mohammad Ubaid (18) son of Mohammad Zaffar Ullah sustained injuries, one of them critically after their Alto car was hit by a truck near Sidhra Bridge, the police official further said.
He said, one Mubashir (25) son of Ghulam Nabi of Pulwama at present Fatehbad, Sidhra suffered injuries near Batra Hospital on the National Highway in Sidhra when his motorcycle slipped off the road.
The police official added that all the injured have been taken to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu separately for treatment while cases under the relevant sections of the law have been registered at concerned police stations and further investigations taken up.
