SRINAGAR: Nine more persons — including four patients from Srinagar, two from Pulwama, one each from Budgam, Bandipora and Shopian — died due to COVID-19 in Kashmir valley, taking the death toll due to the infection in the Union Territory of J&K to 231.
With these deaths, 196 people have lost their lives due to infection in 43 days, and 216 people in 57 day in J&K, where 601 new positive cases have been reported on Friday, taking the total number of infected persons to 12,757. (AGENCIES)
