JAMMU, June 20: Nirjala Ekadashi was celebrated with full religious fervour and gaiety all over Jammu region today.
On the occasion stalls were organized by the social, religious organizations and philanthropists at different places to offer Sharbat, fruits and refreshment to people.
The Chabeels were installed in each and every market and on roadside in the City of temples where the passers by were offered the Sharbat and prashad on this auspicious day.
Besides members of Hindu community especially women also observed fast of Ekadashi all over the region.
Reports coming from other parts of the Jammu said that Nirjala Ekadashi was also celebrated at Udhampur, Ramban, Kathua, Samba, R S Pura, Vijaypur, Bishnah, Sunderbani, Nowshera, Ramban, Katra, Reasi and other areas with full religious fervour and gaiety with people organizing stalls and Chabeels to serve sharbat and prasahd to passers by.
