Sham supports domicile

JAMMU, Jan 1: Former Dy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today said that the BJP stands for restoration of complete peace and put the both UTs of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh on developmental path.
Addressing a large gathering during a party function organized by former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma in connection with the celebrations of New Year at Akhnoor today, he said that the party will do its best to come up to the expectations of the people of Jammu.
He said that BJP do not have any hidden agenda and whatever would be done will be as per the wishes and aspirations of the people of the Jammu.
Singh also said the fundamental rights of local people will be preserved & granting statehood to the J&K as early as conditions permit,” promised by Union Home Minister, Amit Shah will be it’s priority.
The senior BJP leader also claimed the people in J&K have “welcomed the bold step to remove Articles 370 & 35 (A) and other major decisions with cheers”.
He further said that our country is in the safe hands of PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah and we should strengthen their hands by contributing in one way or the other
Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament BJP Lok Sabha while targeting Congress and its other allies said that Congress is playing dirty politics and fiddling with the emotions of the public. He, while speaking on the benefits of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) said that this act is justice to those people who were facing cruelties of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan since long and now a hope to live freely in India has been raised after taking this major decision. He said that Congress is manipulating people and betraying them to disturb the peace of the country. They are using this act as weapon to spread discrimination between the people on the basis of religion. He appealed Karyakartas and gathering not to go with the myths raised by Congress in the society and reach every doorstep to aware masses about the benefits of Citizenship Amendment Act .
Jugal also added that CAA benefits the public and does not harm any citizen already residing in India.
Former Minister and BJP leader Sham Sharma said, Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) has the endorsement of 130 crore citizens of the country as it was the part of the BJP manifesto in 2014 as well as 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The CAB aims to grant citizenship to illegal immigrants belonging to religious minorities Hindus, Sikhs, Jain, Buddhists, Parsis and Christians from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Rejecting the charge that the Bill targets Muslims, Sharma said the Bill does not discriminate with any one. It gives but does not snatch rights. He assured people of Jammu and especially youth that their previous fundamental right will be protected. On the issue of domicile he said that the party is actively considering this issue.
Sham said that the Bill was required to give protection to people who are forced to live in pathetic human condition.
He further said that India is a land of unity in diversity and tolerance and the recent decisions like Article 370,Ram Mandir and now CAA shows our firm commitment towards national security.
Former Vice Chairman, Advisory Board for Development of Kissans Daljeet Singh Chib said that recently he met Lt Governor and apprised him about the issues pertaining to the speedy assessment and compensation to the farmers for the damage of crops due to untimely rains.
