KATHUA, Feb 24: Leader of BJP Legislative Party and former Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today announced a Community Facilitation Centre worth Rs 35 lakh at village Mela, meeting a long pending demand of the residents of the area.
He also announced CDF for leveling of playground at Mela and instructed the concerned officers to identify the land for the construction of CFG.
Addressing a meeting at Village Mela, Dr Nirmal Singh said that PDP-BJP coalition Government’s 10 months rule has proved that good and corruption free governance with a focus on peace, prosperity and development can be provided in the State.
He said that our Government fulfilled the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ‘Sabka Saath Aur Sabka Vikas’ and good governance and it was for the first time in the 67 years old history of Jammu and Kashmir that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh were treated at par.
“Not even a single case of corruption by the Ministers and MLAs of the coalition Government was reported and the development initiatives including AIIMS, IIT, IIM, IIMC and Express Highways were launched in the State within a short span of ten months”, said Dr Singh.
While highlighting the achievements of the BJP-PDP coalition Government, Dr Nirmal Singh said that during its short span in power, Government fast tracked the development projects worth Rs 200 crore in Billawar constituency. He said that to root out the corruption from the body politic of the State, 63 corrupt and deadwood officials were given premature retirement which sent a clear message down the line that corruption would not be tolerated in the BJP-PDP coalition Government.
He asked the party workers to spread the message of BJP Government’s achievements to the grass root level and get ready for Panchayat and Urban Bodies elections.
The meeting was organized by Kandi Mandal of BJP. Mandal President Sudesh Sethu, Sushil Kumar, Raman Kumar, Jagdish Raj and others were also present on the occasion.
