JAMMU, Feb 11: All J&K Shri Kabir Sabha observed ‘Nirvan Divas’ of Sant Kabir Dass Ji with religious enthusiasm at its headquarters, Chak-Avtara, in Bishnah today.
The function was largely attended by the devotees/followers of Sant Kabir Dass Ji from different parts of the region. The devotees especially from district Reasi, Kathua, and Udhampur came in procession & devotees from Khour, Marh, RS Pura, Bishnah, Vijaypur and Sunderbani participated in the function with full devotion.
The spiritual discourse was delivered by Mahatma S. Ajeet Singh Ji, Mandal Pradhan Nirankari & Dina Nath Ji Punjab wale disciple of Mahatma Shri Chandi Ram Ji.
President of the Kabir Sabha, FC Bhagat while addressing the gathering said that Sant Kabir is a guiding spirit of learning and spiritual attainment from whom we all felt inspired and drew strength. He appealed to the people of down trodden communities to unite on a common platform and maintain a positive approach for their progress. He also appealed to develop a mutual co-operation among all other communities for a cordial relation & progressive society.
The Sabha members apprised regarding certain issues/demands which are utmost importance and requires to be considered on priority. Those included reservation in promotions, declaring restricted holiday of Kabir Jayanti as gazetted and funds for the construction of community hall.
Bhushan Dogra, VC SC Advisory Board addressing the gathering appealed the community to provide best facilities to their children for their bright future. He further reiterated that it is the moral duty of every Indian to have respect for constitution and ensure its protection to all other social organizations working for the welfare of the backward communities to keep a cordial relation among each other so as work out the modalities for the upliftment of the downtrodden.
Prominent among others who attended and spoke on the occasion were GR Bhagat (Senior vice president), Prof Ashok Bhagat, Chaman Lal, Yash Pal Bhagat, Tarsem Lal, Bachan Lal, Jatinder Bhagat and district presidents Pardeep Bhagat. A community Langar was also arranged.
