SRINAGAR, Jan 16: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar has been upgraded to the Regional Center of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) and it 2022 pass-out student was named as most versatile Chemical Engineering student (female) during CHEMCON 2022, held recently in Kanpur.
Director NIT Srinagar Prof (Dr) Rakesh Sehgal said it is a proud moment for their institute. Prof Sehgal said the primary objective of the Regional Centre is to promote and complement the objectives and activities of the Institute within the Centre’s territorial limits.
Meanwhile, 2022 pass-out student, Bushra Makhdoomi was awarded most versatile Chemical Engineering student (female) of the year 2022 award.
Director NIT also commended the work put in by Dr Tanveer Rasool, who was Coordinator IIChE Student Chapter. There is a lot more to do and such results are encouraging, he said.
Institute Registrar, Prof Syed Kaiser Bukhari, said, “Over the past several years, NIT Srinagar has signed several MoUs with Institutions across the globe. It is emerging as the hub of knowledge and other activities.”
