JAMMU, Apr 27: A number of NIT students, along with NSUI activists, organized a protest rally in Jammu University today highlighting their demands.
The students from different departments boycotted their classes and joined the protest rally, which took off from the Central Library JU and culminated at Bikram Chowk. The protesting students were raising slogans in support of their demands and against the BJP Government.
The protesters also blocked the roads outside Jammu University for some time. The NIT students lamented that they were protesting from so many days but none of their demands has been addressed.
The NSUI alleged that BJP was adopting double standard over nationalism in NIT and JNU. The students warned to further intensify the struggle if their demands are not conceded.
