Nitish resignation: Omar says BJP played smart game

SRINAGAR: Alleging that Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) played a smart game in the resignation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said it reaffirms that in politics there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies, just marriages of convenience.

Reacting to a tweet that there are some leaders who prefer principle to convenience, the working president of the main opposition party in J&K National Conference (NC), Mr Abdullah said it would have been easier to sell if this would not have been the same BJP that Nitish ji went hammer & tongs against in the Assembly elections.
