NITS Polytechnic organizes seminar on Youth Empowerment

JAMMU, Apr 4: NITS Polytechnic, Jammu organized a lively and enriching four-day Youth Empowerment seminar. About 130 students of NITS Polytechnic participated in the workshop.
Senior teachers of Art of Living, Omesh ji and Bhagwan Ji were the resource persons. During the programme, the participant students were taught various ways to eliminate stress, increase energy, improve physical and mental health and become more confident through simple meditation, pranayams, yoga and Sudarshan Kriya.
Sudarshan Kriya is a powerful and unique breathing technique developed by Sri Sri Ravishankar Ji, the founder of Art of Living and world renowned spiritual leader.
Students Welfare Officer, Tejasvi, who remained associated with the programme throughout, said that the students of today are under enormous pressure to make it big, come what may whether it is being socially acceptable, getting good marks, or bagging sought after jobs. At the same time they have to deal with growing up turbulence and to come to terms with the changes occurring within, physically, mentally and emotionally.
She emphasizd that the workshop will certainly bring in the students greater clarity of mind and calmness, increase in concentration, improved memory and learning capacity, better performance in academics, improved communication skills and increase their confidence, improve ability to work in a team and greater sense of belongingness, with greater joy, enthusiasm and commitment.
Savinder Gupta, Chairman of NITS Polytechnic, emphasized that the escalating violence, intense academic pressure, unhealthy competitions, strained relationship with parents is taking a toll on youth enthusiasm, dynamism and idealism. The youth wants love, inspiration, encouragement and freshness which they find missing all around.
