NITS Polytechnic starts Sri Sri Beautician Training Centre

JAMMU, July 22: NITS Polytechnic, Indira Nagar, Miran Sahib under the ageis of Art of Living foundation (Sri-Sri Rural Development Program) started Sri-Sri Beautician Training Center. This is AOL’s first Beautician Center in J&K State.
The inaugural function was attended by the J&K Art of Living Teachers, Volunteers and general public of the adjoining areas.
Swami Ashok from Banglore Ashram was the chief guest who also performed Guru Pooja. Swami Ashok in his inaugural address expressed his confidence that this Jammu Centre will become a model centre for the whole country.
Director of the Institute Savinder Gupta and AOL Teacher while speaking on the occasion said that India is a rapidly growing economy with vast and young increasing population. The problem of unemployment is colossal as there is severe paucity of quality labour, in view of the large section of the population possessing little or no job skills.
Keeping this in view with the blessings and inspiration of AOL founder, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, AOL SSRDP wing and NITS Polytechnic will work closely as associate partners in providing beautician skill training programme in addition to the already running electrician skill training programme to rural and other youths.
Tejasvi, Student Welfare Officer of the institute, AOL teacher and Chief co-ordinator of the center said that the Sri Sri Skills development center apart from imparting training in 3 months electrician and 3 months beautician course aims to provide modern vocational training in welding, refrigeration, mason work and mobile repairing shortly.
She added that the joint efforts of AOL and NITS Polytechnic will contribute tremendously towards the development and progress of this underdeveloped and backward State.
She further informed that 78 candidates have successfully completed their 3 months electrician training programme and have been awarded the certificates today.
