JAMMU, Feb 2: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today appealed the Prime Minister to urge the empowered committee headed by Cabinet Secretary to finalize the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission (PC) to be sanctioned by the Union Cabinet as per agenda in the next meeting.
Addressing a series of meetings of NMC activists in Jammu and RS Pura, NMC president, Subhash Shastri, expressed concern regarding the slow progress in respect of implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations.
“The effect to the recommendation should have been given by January 2016 itself, but the long delay is intriguing.” Shastri said.
Shastri appealed the Prime Minister to provide sufficient budgetary support to states which are going to follow suit in respect of implementation of 7 PC recommendations.
Terming the Governor NN Vohra as an astute administrator, who has empowered bureaucrats to mitigate salaried class suffering, Shastri hoped that their burning issues would be resolved only under Governor’s rule.
