NMC asks CM to implement 7th Pay Comm report

JAMMU, Aug 5: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today asked Chief Minister to implement recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission in the State at par with the recent decisions taken by the neighbouring States of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh Governments.
Addressing a meeting of NMC workers, President of the NMC Subash Shastri said “We hope that CM Mehbooba Mufti will take steps in implementing recommendations of the 7th pay commission at the earliest to meet the genuine demands of State Government employees and pensioners.
Shastri said that in view of sharp increase in the prices of the essential commodities early implementation of the 7th pay commission recommendation is need of the hour.
He also expressed solidarity with 61000 daily wage earners working in various Government Departments and sought their immediate regularization besides enhancement of monthly salary to Rs 10,000 per month.
Supporting the demand of clerical cadre to remove all inter cadre anomalies, Shastri expressed dismay over the continue procrastination by the high ups establishment over this issue. Finance Minister should personally intervene and settle this issue, he added.
Shastri also demanded early issuance of notification regarding the amount of wages of daily rated workers at national  level, reorganization of the Floriculture Department beside granting technical grades to field staff of the department, change of designation of helpers to gardeners and convening of DPC meeting of the Floriculture Department, release of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in PWD, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, include Jammu and Srinagar City in the list of hundred smart cities, setting up of national wage commission, enhancement in medical allowance to Rs 2000 and release of 8 per cent DA due from July in this year in favour of both Central and State Government employees and pensioners.
