NMC asks PM to appoint 7th Pay Commission

JAMMU, Oct 20: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) urged the Prime Minister to appoint Chairman and other members of the 7th Pay Commission, which will be entitled from January 1, 2016.
Addressing NMC workers rally, Subash Shasti, president of the conference said that early notification for appointing Chairman and other members of 7th Pay Commission is the need of the hour.
“50 per cent of DA should be merged forthwith into basic pay and pension,” he said, adding 20 per cent interim relief should be sanctioned as early as possible in favour of Central and State Government employees and pensioners.
He urged the Chief Minister to release 10 per cent DA due from July in favour of Government employees and pensioners.
Shastri demanded regularization of all daily rated workers, casual and seasonal labour engaged in different Government departments, amendments in SRO 64, comprehensive policy for the regularization of all daily rated workers, release salary of motivators working in IWDP project Akhnoor beside their regularization, regularization orders of 180 daily wagers working in Rural Development Department, release of pending wages of daily wagers working in R&B Department, RDD, PDD, Social Forestry Department, PHE Irrigation and Flood Control Department, removal of pay anomalies of SRO 93, release of 3rd installments of 6th Pay Commission arrears, enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1,000 per month and monthly emoluments of daily rated workers should be increase to Rs 10,000 per month.
Among others present were Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sham Lal Sharma, Rakesh Padha, Anil Singh Slathia, Subash Sharma, Sunil Kochhar, Barkat Ram, etc.
