JAMMU, Mar 20: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) president, Subash Shastri here today appealed to J&K LG, Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo to extend the benefits of Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) to the pensioners of J&K.
Talking to reporters Shastri said that CGHS covers various treatments and procedures under Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Pediatrics ENT Ophthalmology and Orthopedic.
He said that Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has taken a great step to extend CGHS facilities to J&K pensioners.
“The Medical Allowance to pensioners is Rs. 300 per month which needs to be enhanced,” Shastri maintained demanding restoration of Old Pension Scheme in place of NPS.
He also demanded separate wage head for regular disbursement of monthly salary to daily rated workers till their regularization, enhancement of their wages to Rs. 600 per day, merging of 50 per cent DA with basic pay pension, clearance of all pending GP funds and gratuity cases, setting up of 8th Pay Commission to evolve National Pay Policy throughout the country and implementation of all Central Laws in J&K.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Raman Sharma, Ram Singh, Vinod Kumar, Chaman Lal, Birbal Sharma, Ashok Khajuria, and others were also present on the occasion.
