JAMMU, Aug 9: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has demanded comprehensive regularisation and wage policy for thousands of daily wagers engaged with different departments in J&K.
In a press conference here today NMC president, Subash Shastri demanded revival and amendment of SRO 64 of 1994 for regularization of all daily rated workers.
He also said that some months back State Administrative Council had issued orders for regularization of ReT teachers but the daily wagers working with essential service departments who despite being vulnerable to Corona risks continue their duties were not regularized.
He demanded a uniform and immediate decision for all the pending and awaited regularizations that have been cleared and approved by the previous regimes.
On Central Government’s decision to freeze release of DA instalments till June 2021 for Government employees, Shastri appealed to the Prime Minister to re-consider the decision.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Darshan Bawa and others were also present on the occasion.
