JAMMU, Sept 3: Stressing on the need for immediate release of pending installment of 10% DA due from January last and 4th installment of the 6th Pay Commission arrears, National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to announce these incentives in favour of its employees and pensioners in the next Cabinet meeting to provide a sense of relief to the salaried class and pensioners in view of steep inflation.
Addressing workers rally at Green Belt Park here, NMC president, Subhash Shastri stated that in view of the inbuilt provisions in the current year State annual budget, there should not be any hitch for the State Government in releasing these incentives when several State Governments have already released the 10% DA installment since long.
He also asserted for an early decision on regularization of all daily wagers working in various departments of the State Government, merger of 50% DA into basic pay or pension and enhancing the medical allowance to Rs 1000 per month.
