NMC demands release of 7th Pay Commission arrears

JAMMU, July 22: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has demanded the release of 7th Pay Commission arrears in favour of State pensioners.
In a meeting NMC President, Subash Shastri has appealed to the Governor, N.N Vohra to direct the officers of Finance Department to take necessary steps as soon as possible so that the pensioners may heave a sigh of relief.
He also demanded enhancing of medical allowance for State pensioners and exemption from the production of middle pass qualification certificate for 61,000 daily rated workers working in various departments for the last 10 to 20 years.
He reiterated his demand of payment of minimum wages at the rate of Rs 350 per day.
More demands raised by NMC President included total exemption of DA from Income Tax slab, issuance of regularization orders of 180 daily rates workers of Rural Development Department, and implementation of   the 7th Pay Commission benefits to the employees and pensioners/workers of  public sector  under takings etc. He also demanded issuance of orders with regards for removing of pay anomalies of clerical cadre.
Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Darshan Bawa, Madan Lal, Suraj Parkash, Ram Singh, Paramjeet, Sudesh, Sunil, Surinder Kumar, Bhupinder Singh, Ramesh Sharma and others were also present in the meeting.
