NMC for 20% interim relief, 7th Pay Comm

JAMMU, Oct 28: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has urged the Prime Minister to constitute 7th Pay Commission and provide 20% interim relief to the employees in view of increasing burden due to massive inflation in the country.
Addressing NMC activists here today, Subash Shastri, president of the body said that Prime Minister must constitute 7th Pay Commission as the DA has already touched 72%. He also demanded that new Pay Commission’s recommendations be simultaneously implemented for the Central staff and the employees of the State Government.
Mr Shastri further pleaded that till new Pay Commission is constituted and its recommendations implemented, 50% DA be merged with the basic pay/ pension and interim relief of 20% of the basic pay be provided to the Central and State Government employees and the announcement to this regard be made before the Diwali festival.
The other demands projected by the trade union leader included regularization of daily wagers, issuance of regularization orders of 180 daily wagers working in RDD, release of wages of motivators working in IWDP Akgnoor besides their regularization and enhancement of wages of daily rated workers from Rs 125 to Rs 300 per day.
