JAMMU, July 9: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged the Chief Minister and Finance Minister to release the six per cent installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) due from January last in favour of employees and pensioners of the State Government well before Eid-ul-Fitr Festival.
Interacting with reporters here, NMC president, Subhash Shastri said another installment of DA at seven percent has also become due from July 1, 2015 that would ultimately pile-up the arrears thus adding extra burden on State Government. “As a goodwill gesture, an early release of DA installment is need of the hour”, he said adding that they have high hopes from PDP and BJP led coalition Government.
Shastri further urged Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Haseeb Darbu for their intervention into ensuring payment of all pending wages to daily rated workers working in various departments of the State Government before Eid-ul-fitr festival.
