JAMMU, Aug 13: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), Subash Shastri today appealed to the State Chief Minister to announce a comprehensive regularization policy of nearly 61,000 daily rated workers working in various departments of the State Government who have been since long without regular services for the last twenty three years.
Addressing a rally here, Shastri drew attention to the fact that prior to constitution of the present regime the Governor had issued orders for regularization of nearly left over 3,660 daily rated workers falling under SRO-64 on 27th of February 2015, but the same reformist order was not implemented by various departments of the State Govt. till today thus severely affecting the poor and helpless workforce. Similarly the issue pertaining in respect of clerical cadre has still not been resolved with the result that there is some degree of resentment within the cadre, Shastri added.
