JAMMU, Apr 9: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to release two pending installments of 12 per cent DA due from July last and January this year in favor of its employees and pensioners.
Interacting with media persons here, NMC president, Subhash Shastri, said that the two installments of the DA have already been released by the Central Government as well as various State Governments in favor of their employees and pensioners since long adding that in view of increasing prices and inflation, the release of pending installments of DA have become more necessary.
He said since there are already budgetary provisions, there should be no hitch for the State Government in releasing these installments. Delay in such matter is also not in the interest of State exchequer, he added.
Stating that salaried class has high hopes from the coalition Government headed by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Shastri called for early release of the pending DA installments.
