During the Darbar, complainant Vivek Gupta, son of Vinod Gupta of Janipur brought to the notice of Additional Chief Secretary Home that despite depositing the full and final amount along with interest with respect to Strip No.23 measuring 2598 sqft falling under Khasra No.781 situated at Dilli (Ward No.55), Tehsil Jammu South District Jammu, neither the possession of the strip has been handed over to the complainant nor the lease deed executed by the JDA that too despite the lapse of more than three years.
Taking serious note of the issue, the ACS Home on the spot issued directions to the Vice-Chairman JDA for prompt action on the complaint. Thereafter, the Home Department vide communication dated December 1, 2023 forwarded the complaint of Vivek Gupta to the Principal Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department for necessary action under norms.
However, till date no action has been taken either by the Housing and Urban Development Department or by Jammu Development Authority.
“I am running from pillar to post to get justice but the concerned authorities of JDA are least bothered to resolve my issue”, Vivek Gupta told EXCELSIOR, adding “I strictly followed the norms and procedures ever since the auction of the plot was conducted by the JDA but justice continues to elude me because of non-serious approach of the concerned officers of JDA”.
He hoped that Government will intervene and ensure that much delayed justice was provided to him.
