AMARAVATI (AP): Amid the controversy over its proposed changes in the cadre allocation of civil services, the Centre today said the move made in “good spirit” had been “misinterpreted and misunderstood” and clarified that no final decision had been taken on it.
“It might have been a suggestion. It was partly misunderstood and misinterpreted. The proposal was made in good spirit,” Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh told reporters here.
He added that the Centre had not yet taken any decision on the matter, which has come in for flak from Congress president Rahul Gandhi and others. (AGENCIES)
