JAMMU, Mar 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Technocrats Association (JKATA) has alleged that no Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting has been conducted in the Agriculture Department during last 35 years.
A deputation of JKATA today called on  in-charge Director Agriculture Jammu, K K Sharma at Krishi Bhawan Talab Tillo here regarding core issues and grievance of AEAs, The delegation demanded to conduct DPC of AEA’s to JAEO’s  and  clubbing inter-seniority of AEA’s of both divisions of J&K UT by implementing SRO- 442 in letter & spirit.
JKATA further demanded Inclusion of 7, 8 & 9 years of service rendered by AEA’s since 2007 on pattern of SRO 202.
Dr Surinder Radotra, JKATA president said that DPC was important for all the employers. Its procedure should be same for everyone. DPC of AEA cadre should be conducted within time frame. They should also be promoted on the basis of inchargeship. There should not be any partialty in promotion /DPC within the cadres of same department.
Radotra claimed that no DPC of the cadre was onduct for the last 35yrs. Those who joined as JAEO or AEO, retired as JAEO or AEO.  Whole department depending upon in-charge culture.  This is great injustice with the technocrats he claimed.
