JAMMU, April 13: All J&K Scheduled Castes Welfare Association (JKSCWA)/NGO Jammu has decided that there will be no formal function on 129th Birth Anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr BR Ambedkar, which is falling tomorrow (April 14), and the occasion will be celebrated by the people at their homes.
The Association has taken the decision in view of present lockdown due to spread of COVID-19 pandemic. General secretary of the Association, Som Nath Dogra, informed that the celebrations could be held at any time after Nation comes out successfully from this deadly virus.
He appealed all people to maintain law & order and communal harmony in the UT and the whole country in such critical times and pray for the solidarity of the Nation.
On behalf of the Association, Dogra urged the people to cooperate with all doctors, police personnel, medical staff, paramilitary forces, army and all others who are rendering their selfless services tirelessly for safety of all.
