No funds sanctioned for infra development of CLUJ colleges: ABVP

JAMMU, Oct 18: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has said that the Government has not sanctioned even a rupee for infrastructure development of the constituent colleges of Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) and as well newly sanctioned degree colleges affiliated to Jammu University.
In a press conference here today ABVP J&K Secretary, Mukesh Manhas said the Government has sanctioned 52 new degree colleges affiliated to Jammu University.
“In these colleges there one or two stream of arts or commerce and these college are working in one or two rooms,” he told reporters.
Manhas said that ABVP has been demanding all streams in these colleges and development of infrastructure there.

He said for all this ABVP will continue its struggle.
Hailing the decision of Higher Education Department to increase intake capacity of constituent colleges of CLUJ, the student leader asserted that the decision is student friendly.
“ABVP has been fighting since last 15 days for the same and many of its activists got injured during the agitation,” he maintained.
Nandita Sharma, ABVP Joint Secretary and Akash Bhagat, Jammu Mahanagar Joint Secretary were also present in the press conference.
