JAMMU, Aug 28: In partial modification of earlier Government order, the holiday on account of `Ashoora’ shall be now observed on August 30 (Sunday) instead of August 29 (Saturday), in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The modification order in this regard was issued late this evening by the General Administration Department.
“In partial modification of the Government order No. 251-JK(GAD) of 2019, dated 27-12-2019, and the Government Order No 252-JK(GAD) of 2019 dated 27-12-2019, it is hereby ordered that the holiday on account of ‘Ashoora shall be observed on August 30, 2020 instead of August 29, 2020, in the Government offices and educational institutions of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” read the order.
