Mr Jaitley said,”On several occasions last week, the Leader of the Opposition has raised the issue of the PM’s speeches during the election campaign for Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. Many statements were made from both the sides during the elections .

”We wish to state that the PM did not intend to question to question the contributions made by Dr Manmohan Singh and former Vice President Hamid Ansari to this nation. Any impression created in this regard is erroneous,”Mr Jaitley said. (AGENCIES)
