SRINAGAR, Oct 5: Government has barred the posting of junior scale KAS from being posted in personal sections of ministers.
An order to this effect was issued by General Administration Department (GAD) here, today. As per the order even the KAS officers less than four years service will also not be posted in the personal sections of Ministers. However the junior scale KAS officer having put in the service of four or more years will be considered for being deployed as additional private secretaries in the personal section of the Ministers only in extreme situation.
The order said that while deputing such officers it has to be ascertained that the proposed deployment would not act as an impediment in the effective implementation or the policies and programmes of the Department, where the officer is posted, assessing the actual availability of the officers at this level in the field and obtaining No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the administrative departments.
