No liquor shops in Moungri

Sir,
Recent Excise Policy of J&K has proposed for opening of new wine outlets in the Union Territory and one that we concern the most is outlet that has been planned to be opened in Moungri Tehsil.
Our region for years is demanding a college for our region and instead of this we are getting nine wine shops which no one asked for. Form this attitude and vision, it is visible that Government doesn’t want our children to be educated and employed rather they want us drink and remain in the shackles of poverty and hunger. We don’t have concrete road, BDO office, Tehsil Office, Girls and Boys hostel and proper boundary wall and other basic Infrastructure in our Higher Secondary School Moungri. Our Primary Health Centre is Bhagwan Bharose. We are fighting for our college for last three four years and what we get is intoxicated drink.
The opening of these wine shops is going to change the life of people living here for worse.
It is apprehended that wine shops may give rise to crime, poverty and anti -social activities in the area. There are chances that drivers may indulge in alcohol consumption and cause accidents. Keeping these factors in view, it is requested that no wine shop should be opened in the area.
