BHOPAL: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said that no major terrorism incident took place in the four- year-rule of the Narendra Modi Government barring Gurdaspur and Pathankot attacks.
He was here to address a press conference to apprise about achievements of the four-year-rule of the Narendra Modi Government. Mr Singh said that militants attempted to cause huge damage to the Pathankot Airbase but security forces foiled their plans and neutralised all terrorists.
Likewise, militants met a similar fate in Gurdaspur. He claimed that the number of districts affected by Naxalism in the country has reduced from 135 to 50.
It mainly includes districts affected in Chhattisgarh where several initiatives including the setting up a new Bastaria Battalion and forming of a new force named Black Panther took place. (AGENCIES)
