SRINAGAR, Sept 23: Department of Health and Medical Education has informed the general public that no paramedical institution outside the State is at present recognised by the Health and Medical Education Department, J&K for imparting Degree/Diploma Courses in various disciplines for the students of J&K.
According to an order issued by the department, only three institutes namely Institute of Para-Medical Technology, Pahari Chatterpuri, New Delhi, SAI Institute of Allied Sciences, Channa Patana, Ramanagram, Karnataka and Institute of Public Health and Hygiene Mahipalpura, New Delhi were granted recognition by J&K Para-Medical/Nursing Council upto 2016. The Council has informed that no further extension of NOC/recognition in favour of any of the three medical institutions was granted thereafter.
The order further reads, the Degrees/Diplomas obtained by the students of J&K from these beyond the 2016 shall not be considered as valid for applying for various posts of the Health and Medical Education Department as may be advertised by the J&K, SSB.
