This has reference to a piece of article captioned ”An engine too fast” by Suman Sharma DE Mar 5, 2017.
It appears that the learned columnist intended to take a dig on the Govt of the day as is evident from the mention of PM Modi’s oft reiterated phrase “Acche Din Aayenge” (Good days are ahead) and running of Bullet train rather than addressing the plight of the refugees, though he is democratically entitled to do so.
I would like to ask him was the system better of earlier 30-40 yrs ago or is it worse now with the arrival of Mr Modi? The simple answer is : No, it was never good that’s why the Govt of the day is forced to take some drastic steps so as to correct the deep rotted malady ingrained in this system since independence. And mind you, the nector of immortality did not become available unless Shiva drank the poison (Halahal). meaning in shory “No pain no gain”.
