JAMMU, Feb 26: The members of an Enquiry Committee of Horticulture Department, which probed irregularities in grant of subsidies, today clarified that there was no pressure on them from the Director.
“It was only on the directions of Director that committee was framed to look into the allegations made against some officers and the enquiry was conducted in a very fair and transparent manner”, the members of the Committee said, adding “allegations of Director harassing the members of the Enquiry Committee are baseless and false”.
Stating that they have completed the task without being pressurized from any quarter, they said, “it is only due to the efforts of the present Director that scenario of horticulture in Jammu has changed and is benefitting the farming community.
