No quorum, House again adjourned

JAMMU, Feb 28:  Deputy Speaker Sartaj Madni today had to adjourn the Assembly once again for the lack of quorum.
At 11.40 am, Mr Madni, who was in the Chair, adjourned the House for 10 minutes saying there was no quorum in the House.
At 11.50 am, the Assembly staff started ringing bells to call the members to the House. However, it was only after 20 minutes adjournment i.e. at 12 noon that the House resumed its proceedings when the quorum was complete.
During past few days, the Assembly had been witnessing adjournment of the House almost daily due to lack of quorum.
Twenty three members are required to be present in the House of 89 to make the quorum to run the proceedings.
