Srinagar, June 16: Government today said it has no plans to regularize the employees working for the implementation of National Rural Health Mission (NHRM).
In a written reply to a question of Devinder Kumal Manyal in Lower House, Minister incharge Health and Medical Education stated that as per the guidelines of National Health Mission (NHM), the services of NHM manpower are hired purely on contractual basis and their contracts are being renewed every year after appraisal of the performance.
“NHM guidelines do not provide for regularization of such contractually engaged workers. The department has already referred number of posts of doctors, paramedics and other non gazetted staff to the concerned recruiting agencies for making suitable selections. When the selections are received, the vacant posts shall be filled up accordingly,” the Minister said.
