No SC relief for Srinivasan

NEW DELHI :  The Supreme Court today expressed no confidence in the suspended BCCI chief N Srinivasan and told  BCCI that the court wants action against G Meiyappan, son-in-law of N Srinivasan.
The bench headed by Justice TS Thakur also made it clear that the court will not announce punitive measure and short circuit the BCCI.
The apex court gave four options to BCCI, including forming a panel excluding Srinivasan to announce punishment for Meiyappan.    Other options include that the quantum of punishment be announced by Justice Mukul Mugdal Committee. The apex court yesterday made it clear that the BCCI must be purged at the top to maintain the purity of the game of the cricket and those at the helm of BCCI must be above suspicion.     The hearing is still undergoing in the apex court.
