No SDA for employees in Ladakh: Sadhotra

JAMMU, Mar 13: Minister for Planning and Development Ajay Sadhotra while replying to a Calling Attention Notice of Narboo Gialchan said that Special Duty Allowances (SDA) has never been in place for the State Government employees posted in the Ladakh region and there is no case to start it now.
The Minister said the rates of compensatory/Boarder Allowance wherever admissible under rules, have already been revised vide SRO 207 dated 20-6- 2012.
Mr. Sadhotra said earlier, the case was examined and sent to the Finance Department vide U.O.No. LA (Acctts) 05/2007 (P-II) dated 6-8-2012. The said case was examined by the Finance Department and returned vide U.O.No.A/92(2010)-1047 dated 6-9-2012 after observations.
