No single party can give readymade solution to Kashmir issue: Vakil

SRINAGAR, May 26: Former Minister and Member AICC, Abdul Gani Vakil today said that no single party can claim to be in possession of a ready-made solution to the vexed Kashmir imbroglio and to resolve this issue people of different thoughts from three regions of the State have to be taken on board.
He said Article 370 is to be strengthened and communal forces bent upon dividing the State are to be kept at bay, Vakil added.
He said divisive forces favoring abrogation of Article 370 were the enemies of State and trying to weaken the State’s relationship with Centre. He asserted that Congress will leave no stone unturned in defeating evil designs of those forces who are conspiring to weaken Article 370.
Vakil was addressing a public meeting at Balahama Rafiabad.
He expressed concern over the downfall of the fruit industry in the State and urged the Government to constitute a team of experts for assessing extent of damages caused to fruit orchards due to hail storm and demanded adequate compensation to affected growers.
Besides others who addressed the gathering were Ghulam Nabi Shah, Haji Mohammad Afzal Khan and Pandit Brij Nath Nehru.
