No stone left unturned to empower women during NC regime: Gupta

JAMMU, Nov 14: Provincial NC president for Jammu Province, Rattan Lal Gupta has said that NC during its regime in the erstwhile J&K State headed by Dr. Farooq Abdullah as well as later on by Omar Abdullah left no stone unturned in fully empowering the women of this region.
He said that it is known to one and all that NC during every phase of its rule worked relentlessly for providing equal rights to each and every section of the society.
Gupta was speaking at a joining function in which Joginder Kour joined NC here today at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan.
Welcoming Kour into the party fold, Gupta called NC as a mass movement that has all along stood for the just cause of people of J&K and has strived for development and progress of J&K with a sense of commitment.
The function was organized by Bimla Luthra, former MLA and NC State vice president of Women Wing who said that NC was committed for the welfare of womenfolk in J&K specially the ignored far flung areas.
Satwant Kour Dogra, Provincial president Jammu Province Women Wing; Vijay Lochan, chairman SC Cell, Rekha Devi, Saroj Bala and others were also present on the occasion.
