UDHAMPUR, June 25: Ramnagar town is reeling under severe scarcity of drinking water as there has been no supply of the same for the last five days.
The locals alleged that there is no supply of water in the entire town since last Monday while the concerned authorities have also failed to ensure alternative arrangements of drinking water supply with the result people were suffering badly.
According to the Jal Shakti Department, the natural sources of water supply to the town got damaged during the recent incessant rain and flash floods thus affecting the supply. All efforts are being made to restore the supply system as early as possible, officials said.
